Some people feel like the Republicans have not lived up to their core ideals, or for that matter, their promises.
Also, because the Republicans have been in complete power for quite a while now, they are the target of discontent in our country.

Many people who are being hurt by globalism and a lack of quality/affordable healthcare are angry, and who else can they see to blame? Republicans hold the congress nd the white house, so who else are they going to hold accountable?

There was a time when Republicans did not approve of running a huge deficit (which is happening now), wanted the government to stay out of religion (even Pat Robertson was leery of the faith-based initiatives), and expected their politicians to do the right thing (unlike all of the folks linked to Abramof, Foley, and others).

Perhaps many people have realized that the Republicans have become drunk on power, and that they needed to be reminded that their followers are not sheep.

That being said, the same might easily happen to the Democrats once they are in power for a long time.

And sad as it is, both sides have been doing name-calling and hurtful chants for quite some time now----you just notice them more when you are on the losing side.

Neoconservative Republicans taught people the hate baiting tactic and used it big time to win the elections and now that they've failed, people are sliming them.

Other Republicans bought the hate baiting messages and now they need to be de-brainwashed. They act like Stepford people. Their behavior is so weird, they seem to be from another planet. They are zenophobic, greedy, murderous (they don't care about human lives), they bait racists into the party and they want your rights destroyed while everyone is else is trying to live with each other and have a good time.

Democrats should first make plans to dismantle every anti-Constitution law the Neoconservatives put in place -- first thing. Next they need to expose to the public every anti-human rights action the Neoconservatives put in place. All of these bills were hidden and signed before the American people knew about them.

If they had won, you would not be traveling without government permission (2007), you would have an infra red tracking device in your "National ID Card" (2007), the Tri-lateral government they have been illegally meeting about would be in place(2008) with a new dollar for Mexico, Canada and the US called the "Amero" (2008+); your phones are wiretapped and things you say are misconstrued (now) so you will be able to be thrown in jail forever without knowing why (now).

When's the last time you were at your town meeting to monitor what your officials are doing? They have been meeting alone for way too long or none of this would have happened.

Someone recently said (on a show, I forget which), that Republicans are out for the rich, for lack of change, for oppression of others' opinions and rights...and I think that is mostly true. Dems, on the other hand, regardless of their flaws, usually are compassionate and caring, and think about others. This counts for a lot in the end and the greedy, corrupt, warmongering "Leadership" of the current administration, along with the sex and fraud scandals, have REALLY given Repubs a horrible image.

Also, MOST Repubs, (not you) are just as vicious, I think MORESO, than most Dems on any forum!

Many people may be conservative, but they dont' like being lied to and have their country and way of life destroyed so some fat cats can get rich and have power.

My husband and I don't hate Republicans. We dislike what the current administration, both executive and legislative, has done to trash the traditional Republican philosophy.

Billions a week are going into the black hole called Iraq, and most of that money isn't going for the military. It is going for no bid contracts to administration friendly Halliburton and subsidiaries, who are off-shore corporations that don't pay tax back to the U. S.

It's the arrogance of power with the "earmarks" on legislative spending bills that fund stupid stuff like teapot museums. It's jobs going over seas...not just manufacturing...but highly technical jobs, while our middle class is shrinking.

They were sent to Washington "by the people", to govern "for the people", and they forgot about the people. We had to send them a message.

because the majority of republicans, not all, just majority, would run over their own pet crow to make money. they typically do not car about anyone unless they own a multi trillion dollar company.
The point is that they get rich off of poor people. and they want people to stay poor, the more poor people there are the more people there are for them to get rich off of.
so bush and his friends stay rich, and the other 95 percent of the world live an impoverished life so they can take 6 month vacations.

It is not just Republicans it is anyone who does not serve their purposes in life. The Democrats think that power belongs to them and that they are entitled to hate anyone that stands in their way and use those that don't stand in their way. They even hate each other, look at what they did to Lieberman. All they care about is power and geting what they want regardless of wat they have to do to obtain it. They preach about whatever they think will help them, but always do the opposite themselves. Look at how they treat Blacks. They are a very evil group and are in the process of disappearing from the political spectrum.

It is the infantile reaction of numerous people with no life, IQ under 90 and since their party abandoned the KKK in public they need an outlet for their hate and bile.

They get their opinions from NPR - CNN - MSNBC and when you ask them to explain their answer their point falls apart. I have a friend who said "1% of the richest people in this country have 99.9% of the money" and he believe it.

well the question you are asking is why can't people discuss politics without resorting to childish name calling, etc...

i dislike republicans immenseley but there is no reason to resort to that level. i hate them because:

- gay marriage should be legal (and the hypocracy on this is insane...i.e. foley and haggard)
- the iraq war is a disaster
- they are supposed to be AGAINST spending tons of money but bush has run up the largest deficit in US history after clinton had a surplus
- they cut taxes to the richest people in the country who do not need a tax cut

and that's just a partial list...
