I've been to 45 of the 50 United States, and I've lived in 5 of them. And Texas is a great pick -- nice weather, friendly people.

But I'd have to pick Virginia!! Virginia has Atlantic Ocean beaches, incredible Mountain views & hiking, interesting & important historical sites, friendly people, yummy food, 4 seasons of weather (but a short, easy winter!). Virginia just has everything!!

Texas is the WORST state, not the best. Don't try to fool anyone or yourself. The people are unfriendly, ignorant, arrogant, and backwards. For example, just look who the president is..... i couldn't ask for a better example to make my point. So, you just stay in Texas, that's good.

Pennsylvania....there are four seasons, gorgeous rolling hills and country-sides, great cities, lots of history. And it's close to Baltimore, DC, NYC, the ocean....And people talk funny (especially in PA-dutch areas :) It's great.
