a little trick the engineer told me.... when you ring them, don't select any options and you will get through to someone quicker.

Do it by phone..they dont keep you waiting ages. I tried to unsubscribe to Sky a couple of months ago. I have the full package approx £42.50 per month. After refusing to budge eventually they offered me three months subscription at half price. Also my receiver broke before that and they wanted to charge me to get it repaired. After threatening to close my account they offered free repair or replacement. So dont give up if you feel youre getting a raw deal with them. They give in rather than lose custom. Also if you have a Sky aeriel and box, even if you cancel the subscription, you can still receive loads of channels by leaving your viewing card in.

I did it by phoning them. Yes they do try to persuade you to keep it, but you must be strong and insist. I told them that I had lost my job and just couldn't afford it, this worked for me.

The good thing is they leave you with the dish and digi box, so if you wanted to, you could re-connect at a later date. I hope this helps.

Try the customer support pages, I agree DO NOT phone as they keep you on the phone for ages and it is a national rate number.
This is the customer support web page :-
http://www.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/support
You can email for a general enquiry and ask for the correct email for billing and subscription
Hope this helps

If you pay by direct debit, write to your bank and cancel it.
Sky will eventually contact you.
