This shows how useless the UN is. If the US can make most of the decisions anyway and certain corrupt countries have more power and influence than others, it's nothing but a political tool for globalization and oppression and isn't at all a democratic tool to give other countries a say with a democratic process. Wasn't that the supposed purpose the UN--to promite world peace and give every nation a voice? But in reality the UN is doing nothing but paying to confiscate land, fund wars, fund population control programs, and police the world and restrict people's freedom and self-determination. It's time that it is abolished and the tax dollars be returned to their respective countries taxpayers.

"Ultimately, a resolution like this emboldens terrorists, encourages counterattacks and contributes to the ultimate terrorist goal of derailing the peace process," said U.S. Ambassador John C. Danforth, explaining the U.S. veto. "The Security Council should reverse the incessant stream of one anti-Israel resolution after the other and apply pressure evenhandedly on both sides to return to the road to peace."
In raising his hand to cast the U.S. veto, Bolton called the measure unbalanced, and said it would have exacerbated tensions in the region.
"Passage would also have undermined the credibility of the Security Council, which itself must be seen by both sides as an honest broker in the Middle East conflict," said John Bolton.

Maybe because evey time there is a chance for any kind of peace between the two something comes to light that makes Palestine's accusations appear over blown or plain falsehoods.

Palestinians admit the battle for the Jenin refugee camp that was touted as a massacre of thousands of innocent civilians was actually a "military to military battle" between Israeli forces and Palestinian "armed terrorists," in which most of the 52 casualties were fighters.
"Believe me, there are children stationed in the houses with explosive belts at their sides," said Abu Jandal, commander of the terrorist group Islamic Jihad at the Jenin camp, in an interview during the battle with Al-Jazeera. "Today, one of the children came to me with his school bag. I asked him what he wanted, and he replied, 'Instead of books, I want an explosive device, in order to attack … .'"

Israel and the Jews are God's land and people and anyone who calls themselves Cristian and reads the bible should know that anyone who goes against them will suffer. If you want the secular reason, Israel is our biggest ally and has the best air force in the world and their military is also one of the best. Not a good idea to go against your biggest ally especially when given the right circumstances they can kick your butt, they are a bigger ally than England is, so best to leave them alone.

nBecause the US will never condem the Jews for anything.
And we all pay the price for it. But people don't want to admit that 9/11 had anything to do with our conduct in the Middle East.
