I'm due to get this package and when I tracked it said it was enroute. What does that mean because its been enroute for about a day?

Its about 4:59 pm were I live and I'm starting to think that the package isn't going to be dropped off any time soon. Yet when I checked its status it still said the same thing.

Most of your large UPS centers, like those at airports, never close. Enroute means that the package has been loaded onto a truck, plane, etc., and has not been scanned and received at the destination yet.

The post office delivers every Saturday but holidays. If the tracking says "en route", it may not be at your local office yet. If it was mailed parcel post rather than first class or priority mail, there are no service guarantees. Are you checking at the USPS.com website?

I will help any way I can. I am a Postmaster in a small town in California so I know the system. Take care.

It just means that either its on a truck headed to you or its on its way to the post office. Most POs close around noon on Saturdays.
