I have a pair like that and to open them for the first time i had to turn the bead for like 15 min. So try that?!

Try twisting the ball in either direction
If that doesn't work, pull it, but don't break it. It may be a tight connection

I have one of those in my ear.You Unscrew the lil ball and then you pull the One side,and it comes apart to put through your ear.

tricky...u probably have to the sides of the ball on it
