yupp..
see..one of the answers up there said something about evil ppl living a perfectly good life
well, in my opinion, we may THINK they are just by how we see them everyday..but wut goes on inside their house, inside their body healthwise, and inside their mind is a whole nother story that may show that their life is NOT perfect..
also, even if someone is perfectly healthy, happy, and wealthy in one life and they're pretty bad...their next life may show them what wasn't shown in their past..which mean that they may have all the fun in one life but they may face a living hell in the other!
This is just my opinion tho!

All these answers so far are fine. But I don't think an abstract word like karma can be analysed without the word reincarnation.
I'm no Buddhist, but I believe in reincarnation and Karma.Things may not necessarily equal themselves out over a lifetime but they will over several!
This is Karma and the inherent need for reincarnation.Hopefully over several lifetimes we can subconsciously learn the life lessons that are required to progress, if such a place awaits us

It all comes back to you, whatever you do, good or bad. It's a massive discussion, but I really do believe that however we treat others in this life will one day come back to us, that might not be for a long time or it might be the very next second.
We've got to treat people the way we want to be treated and walk a mile in their shoes sometimes, bad stuff will happen to us just as much as good stuff will, but if you walk around treating people like sh*t then when the bad stuff happens to you, there must be something in the back of your mind that tells you that you deserve it, I know something tells me that, so I stopped being a little bastar*

No I absolutly do not believe in karma. Karma is believing you might have been a bird in the past life and are human now but in the next life might become a beetle. I believe in God. We have a soul. Humans and nature are just not things that have come about by accident. We have a purpose.

I dont believe in karma. ln the bible Job suffered though he was a righteous man, we dont always get pay back in this life for the bad things we do but the bible says that we only live once then die then we are raised to face judgement...scary!! but the good news is that Jesus, who lived a perfect life and died for sinners, has already faced that judgement and if we trust him we can be forgiven n that is not karma that is GRACE!!!

If every action has a consequence is what you define as karma then yes. If you mean do something good, something good happens to you etc, then no, its a fairy story told to people of a young age to get them to conform to rules that the person saying it to them have been restricted to.

some say NO because they see mean people, drug sellers all get more than they have in life, but how do the know that these people have not had the real bad stuff happen as of yet..maybe it is coming..and I believe they will get theirs...someday...they say the mighty fall much farther than the meek....
plus I believe in smiling and helping anyone who needs help, just like they say..What goes around comes around...
some of use get the comes around a lot faster than others, but we all get it back some day..really...
good luck

Karma is a fantastic concept. Imagine everyone making only good causes in life. Surely this would allow peaceful living, and happiness! Why dont you look in to it a bit more, and decide?? I believe in karma! :)

no... i know plenty of evil people who do just perfectly in life...
karma is for people who want to believe that if someone is mean to them, some cosmic force will make sure they get hurt in the end.... nice thing to believe, too bad it's not the case.
in my life i have found the nicer i am to people, the more they take advantage of me. when i become more tough and agressive then i have to deal with less sht*t from people.

It seems that people get away with acting mean and inconsiderate to others but I believe that at some point in their life they will have to pay for their cruelty. For instance-if a person is mean to their parents then at some point their children will turn against them as well.

I think karma is like, if you do some sin, then you have to be reborn to clean yourself, then in the second life you might face many odds or may be in the same life.
