It's not illegal. The driving laws apply to public roads only. Just make sure that you stay on private property. Private property must be designated with signs as being "Private," and must not have any kind of public access. For example, an apartment complex is "private property," but there is public access, so according to the law it is not "private property" and the driving laws do still apply.

Only if you get caught - - -- but seriously, unless the police get a complaint, they'd rather not hassle people driving on private property especially rural areas & farms. Back in the day in Washington State it was understood that farm kids as young as twelve had chores that required driving and it is far better for a fourteen year old to get as much practice as possible on a private road before becoming a sixteen year old out on a public highway.
Peace...

i dont think you're going to be arrested the first time you're caught. at most you would just get a fine or something and be charged with driving without a license. and if you live on a private road, then chances are low that you will either see a cop or get pulled over. just pay attention to the speed limit and don't drive recklessly and you'll be fine.

You will not be arrested unless you cause some kind of damage or your driving constitutes a violation of someone else's rights (reckless driving, etc.). Because you are on private porperty, law enforcment cannot issue you a citation, however, you will draw unnecessary attention to yourself.

If you are NOT driving on a public street, but on your parent's property, you are legal to drive but I don't think any insurance on the vehicle would pay out if you have an accident. Without a learner's permit (with a licensed driver with you) or a driver's license, insurance is not liable.

If your parents own this private road and you stay on it, you will not be arrested. only if you drive off this road. to land your parents do not own, is when there is a possibility for a ticket.

Privet property is a bid different than an open access privet road. If the access to this road is not open to the public, then you weren't breaking the law.

I would say that it doesn't matter where you drive, if you are under age, you would get into trouble-even on a private road
