I plan on being in Glibert, Arizona in January and I wanted to make a one day trip to Las Vegas, the Sands Expo Center to be exact, and I wanted to know if any buses would do a one day trip and how much a ticket would cost? Thanks in advance.

Marck:

As others have said, the bus service is on Greyhound. The long travel time (9 hours) is because for "security reasons" commercial vehicles have been banned from crossing Hoover Dam, the most direct route, so now they have to make a big, out of the way detour around it.

I'm guessing you are visiting someone here? Ask them to check the Travel section of the Sunday AZ Republic. All the tour companies advertise there and I'm pretty sure there are at least a couple that do trips to Vegas at a reduced price. I'm not sure you can do it just as a day trip though, it's a 7-hour trip each way non-stop. Could do it if you fly.

A bus ticket from Phoenix to Las Vegas, costs between $48 and $100, according to greyhound.com. And it is 9 hours drive.
You can buy airline ticket for the same times, in $107, and fly time is only 1 hour!!!
Try looking in FareChase, they search dozens of airline websites for you, so you dont have to. this way you save time and money!!!
Or type "flights from Phoenix to Las Vegas" in Yahoo search, and fill the form that comes up on top.
