I can't mention them all now...dont have them all in my mind at the moment...but isn't metallica truely the best band ever?why not?cuz they sued napster?(bullshit)cuz they made ST anger?watch their show in rock am ring 2006.simply amazing...james is in his 40s and still kicks ***...hammett solos go perfectly with james' riffs,solid bass riffs and double kick drumms( i don like lars though).

You're absolutely right!
Metallica's one of the greatest bands of our time (if not the best,though it Is), & perhaps later, it would be considered as a "classical" band...Such as Schupin, or Handell...Who knows?
Yeah, Napster & all that media bullshit, ain't matter!
The real fact is their Music, which's brilliant!
Metallica has 5 albums (jewels: Kill 'em all-Ride the lightning-Master of puppets-And justice for all-Black album-)
which can Never be replaced or compared to Any other fabulous works!
Of course James & Kirk are expert musicians, take those songs you mentioned for instance, & I think even if St.Anger was a dissapointment, "That's not a good way to sue a great band!"
I mean even great bands like Queen (my favourite) have made mistakes during their career (take their Hot Space, or Flash Gordon, for example.) but after that they've made amazing works! (such as their Innuendo, or Made in heaven).

Metallica is like a forefather of classic METAL. They were so great in their time. I liked them better before the black album. But even so, they are truly a talented bunch of musicians.
OK, I agree, they don't handle their stuff well, the napster thing etc. BUT...they are TALENTED. Their music is intense. I love Metallica. Now and Foreva....
My personal Fave's are basically:
WHIPLASH
Seek & Destroy
Master of Puppets
Ride the Lightning
Sanitarium
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Disposable Heroes
I saw them several times in concert in the late 80's and early 90's. AWESOME. Thats the best word to describe them.

You forgot to mention Eye of the Beholder (my fav) Metallica kicked some serious *** back then. Now days I can't stand them. I don't like the new Metallica. It has nothing to do with them personally. I like em!
