i dont know, to this day, if what i had was a near death experience. I told only a few people, but got laughed at, but I swear, as sure as daylight exists, this is what happened. My most loved cousin had died at age 16, i was 14. He used to love music...so this morning, about 2 weeks after his death, (i'm a Christian and had been praying to God to make me die because it was unbearable for me to accept my cousin's death) so...I lie on my bed, i could see around the room, i dunno why i looked, oh, i remember, its cause i heard a little mouth flute, the same Quintin used to play, and the tune, "It is well with my soul" it rose to a crescendo. I could feel myself lifting. I lifted my head to look at my feet to try and see what the hell...then i realized, as i lifted my head, i could still feel the pillow at the back of my head, so somehow, my sight was beyond my body, so was i...i got a feel that i was moving away from myself...fear set in, so i prayed not to die, and i "awoke"

When I was young, I tried to open the bleach bottle with my mouth and my tongue had bumps on it because of the leftover bleach lol but I wouldn't say it was near death experience...so No. but my dad did. He was driving home on route 80 and this van from the opposite side of the high way came out of no where and almost hit my dad and my dad veered his vehicle toward a truck that was driving on the next lane. The van cause a chain car accident but nothing happened to my dad THANK GOD!!

I think you lost me with your details. I am sorry to hear about your cousin.

I had a near death experience of blacking out from a major vehicle accident. I was hit from behind. BLACKED OUT. I hit the trailer of an 18 wheeler, and then the concrete wall. I did not know anything about the 18 wheeler until 2 HOURS later when I got back to my job. One of my co workers said something about it. I was SO stunted to know it happened. No one at the accident scene said anything about it.

Yes,
I answered this before. I was 3, and fell from a moving car to the pavement. I had a concussion and probably was not in danger of death. However, I "hallucinated" being in a brightly lit and misty place where angels were talking to me and stroking my forehead. I told everyone about this experience. I remember it vividly 53 years later. It seems to fit the parameters of the light and welcome of NEAR- DEATH scenarios.

15 yrs old bad car accident the two day later, getting sick mom tried to get me a doctors appointment NO one would take me, fear of problems caused by emergency room, the one was an oral surgeon, he took blood, we sat down, I passed out onto the floor, a nurse came running in the front door up to the receptionist at the glass window, I heard her say where is that patient you just had me run blood on, he has severe blood poisoning, his is dieing, ..I was on the floor, they of course fix me up....I did feel I was all warm and calm and felt like their was some one telling me to come toward the light, and I did see a white light...
then I felt a large pain in me, they were sticking me with needles an they had to do a transfusion...

smile
good luck

when i went to sleep when i try to get up and i can't lift half of my body, i wonder why, when i turned around i saw half of my body lying down and sleeping, this happend 3x in my life same time of the day. then one time as well, i went out from the room cause i heard kids noise outside and it was only the grandkids of my landlady, then i went back to my room and lay down in bed, suddenly i was awake again for the same reason, the noise of the kids...and then i just realise that i was sleeping but i remember that i get from the bed and went out to see the kids, so i hurriedly went out and looked, what a surprise, the first time i saw the kids was only my dreams but that everything was in real when i saw them again...so i think my spirit tried to separate my body, if i didn't go back to my body, i might be dead for the eyes of the other people and probably be proclaimed as really dead! so for me this is a near death experience, lost in the dreams...!

Twenty years ago I was nearly killed when a car hit me while I was riding my bike. I have had other experiences also. In none of those times did I have the classic "going through a tunnel toward a bright light" experience others have reported, however.

Yes, actually; I found out that I was deathly allergic to wasps very quickly...I was 6 years old when it happened and I'll never forget asking my mom, "Do I have to go the ER?"
