I think I know what happens if a question get a lot of thumbs downs...it is removed for being a bad question or reported as a violation. but what happens to a question that gets a lot of thumbs up? does it catch the attention of the yahoo teem? and do you get extra points for it? if you feel this is a decent question, please give me a thumbs up just so I can see what happens. thanks

THIS IS A GOOD QUESTIONS. I'M NOT SURE HOW THE Y/A TEAM REESPONDE TO THUMBS UP QUESTIONS. I THINK THEY SOUD GIVE POINTS FOR THE THUMBS UP QUESTIONS.

I don't know about thumbs up, but you have to have it flagged (reported) not just thumbs down to be deleted. I think the thumbs thing is just something to relieve frustration on the part of people who don't like you - or do like you, kind of a feel-good thing! I can't see it's ever meant much else. There was one on etiquette who got like, 9 thumbs down and she still got to pick a best answer, and got away with making fun of the answerer besides.
