Depends on the person themself.
Some women who are married prefer to stay at home and have a successful married life and raise children. Some married or partnered women with children want a career as well as a family life and have the support of their spouse to do so.
But it would seem un-partnered women may have a little more freedom to undertake a career.
Being a mum and in a relationship for 10 years I have been able to have a working career and I feel greatful for that as I like my independence in that sense, I have money to follow through on doing things I like, but then i come home and have to be a mum, so in a sense there is a little extra work their because as working mum's know, having a family is not always easy work but very rewarding and im am honoured to have the two roles in my life.

that really depends, I can see both sides. I'm a single mom, and sometimes I think it would be easier for me to be successful if I was married. Because if I was married to someone who had a decent job, then I could afford to go back to school to be able to get a really good job, or I could take a job that is too financially risky for me to take now. You know that saying about it takes money to make money?
For me, as a single mom, I can't take a job that is shift work, or on-call, or a contract. I would make more $ in those jobs, but I need something that is full-time, permanent, day time hours.

I'm going to assume that by success you mean, money and a career.
Men who are married generally make more money and have a more successful career.
Woman who remain single and don't have kids (Single mothers are the poorest group of people) usually make more money, and have a more successful career.
Is this difference due to having children, I think so, but I'm not sure.

men have more opportunities them women so when we re married its almost the same, but when women are married it makes things way ahrder than it already is, because youre tied down just a little more, single woman are independent and they can do a lot of things they want, including to be ambitous
