All of those new gadgets seem like a waste of money and aren't always that safe. I used a bottle warmer, while, I was babysitting for my friend's son and I had no idea that it warmed the bottle instantly. I left the bottle in the water for about 10 minutes and pulled out a boiling bottle. Then, I spent an additional 5 minutes making a new bottle via the microwave, with a wailing baby in the background. I was so fed up, that I told her that it was a waste of money.

Luckily, with my youngest, we never used bottles. But, if I had to do it again, I would stick to the old fashioned way with heating the bottle on the stove or zapping the water in the microwave for a few seconds!

Don't waste your money on those things. They even have baby wipe warmers too. The baby will be fine with cold wipes and semi-cold food.

What my mom taught me was that the babies immune system will be much stronger if they learn how to drink cold milk instead of warming their bottle. I don't mean when they are infants, when they get to a few month, you can even wait till they're about to eat baby food. If you still insist on warming up their bottles and food then do it the old fashioned way by warming it with boiling water (by sticking it in the boiling water for a few second or until warm enough). You can do this with the baby food too.

No they are not worth it because everywhere you go have microwaves and or hot water. I usually bring bottle water where ever I go. This way if i have to make a bottle I have fresh water. I also have a diaper bay that has an insulted pocket where I keep warm bottles and that works great. It keeps a bottle warm for a few hours.

The regular ones aren't even worth it. I use the microwave at home. When we're on the road I warm up water in separate bottles, in the microwave before I leave, and bring the formula powder in a separate container. That way the water is warm when I'm ready to mix it, and it keeps for as long as I need it to.

No. I vote for the old fashion way. It works and cost less.
