A goal scored by a team with more men on the ice than the other team. For example, if a player for Team A gets a penalty and has to sit out for 2 minutes, Team B will have one extra player on the ice for those 2 minutes. If Team B scores during those two minutes, it is called a 'Power Play' Goal.

A power play occures when one player from a team has to sit out in the penalty box for a penalty he commited. When he sits out, it is called a power play for the other team because they are a man up. If that team with a man up scores during the power play, that is a power play goal because it happened during the power play.
