Why should you change yourself because people are uncomfortable with it? Stay who you are. And maybe have a frank talk with these friends of yours.

Stop being yourself? I never knew that was possible. Be yourself. Oh, and a lot of guys poke fun at their friends. I don't want to overgeneralize, but you could say it's just a guy thing to poke fun at each other over anything. If you stop acting feminine they'll be poking fun of you because your voice is too deep or because your first car is purple or one of a billion other things. Just be yourself at take their jokes in stride. They're probably just messing with you as friends. If they really are getting to you bad and you really want them to stop. Let them know they've taken it too far. If they have any respect for you as a friend they'll lay off. If they don't respect you and continue, find new friends.

I got made fun of a lot in high school because I fixed my hair, wore nice clothes and dry cleaned or ironed them. Wore gucci cologne and shaved and showered. I kind of wondered what was wrong with me and if I should buy a camo jacket like them. Then I decided not to change when I started sleeping with there girlfriends. Turns out girls prefer guys that arent rednecks and act like the typical Alabama guys. Point being, just be yourself, theres other people thatll understand you out there. Dont be a tool.

If your friends are putting you down for the way you are, then maybe you need to choose different friends. That might be difficult for you to do, depending on how you feel about them.

On the other hand, if they take exception to a fundamental part of you, then they aren't truly accepting YOU, are they?

Never stop being yourself. If they can't accept you for who you are that's their problem. Maybe you need to find some more friends!
