do you think Wizard of Oz should still be an annual kids holiday TV special presentation thing or should Hook, be a the NEW "special presentation" type thing on TV today just like W.O.O. was to the TV kids in the 50's and 60's (and they are BOTH pretty violent so that should have NOTHING to do with your decision)

I like Hook much better than The Wizard Of Oz- Their not violent, their ment to be for kids, their not violent at all.
But I think The Wizard Of Oz is better for the holidays.

While HOOK was enjoyable as a COVER for the story of Peter Pan, and I enjoy it every time I see it,,, OZ is a timeless piece of work.
Actually NEITHER have anything to do with Holidays, and VIOLENT in either is soooooooooooooooooo tame as compared to what children have access to in 2006.
Our decision????????????? Hmmmm... I doubt any here are ratings critics, or power people on any network.

Why should it be an either/or proposition? I think that Oz deserves to be shown to future generations for its timeless values and great story. I happened to see "Hook" today and enjoyed the message of keeping the human imagination alive, no matter one's age. The element of belief is something that definitely can fit into the holiday repitoire of programming.

I like "Hook" fine, but the "Wizard of Oz" is a timeless classic, and I can't imagine any other movie with its staying power. So I'm going to have to go with "Wizard".

I think The Wiz is way better than Hook I think Hook is so lame.
