I got a Dell Inspiron Laptop yesterday and it needed charging. It was completely dead. So, I've been charging it all night, but it still won't work. Does it have to charge longer than 24 hours?

If you plug it in, it should work immediately...it will charge even while being used. It could be a battery problem though, dell has had many battery recalls in the past. there should be a battery meter button on the battery, if it doesnt light up and you have truly been charging then the battery is bad. Your charger (on the cord) should also have a small light on it signifying whether it is powerd on or not. and it defintely would never need to charge longer than 24 hours.

Need about few hours to recharge Inspiron battery. Make sure LCD screen is brighter when connecting AC adapter to know adapter or battery is out of order.

Take it back to the store. You should not have to charge it at all. Insist on your money back or a different computer.
