Used to... not to sound cynical, but life seems pointless if you simply live 'for the moment.' Because, when the moment's over, it doesn't matter how much money you have, what house you've bought, or where you've travelled: you're still going to die.

The only thing that will give purpose to these quickly-passing minutes is belief in life after death, so that there will be a reason for our actions on earth.

However, none of us are possibly good enough to go to Heaven -- just take the 10 Commandments to see if you'd get through by heaven's Owner's standard! Thankfully, there is a way to inherit eternal life .. and it won't be by anything you or I can do -- it's through something that was done 2000 years ago when Jesus Christ promised us eternal life.

When he was crucified on the cross -- when nails were put through his hands and feet even though he had cmmitted no crime to deserve this punishment -- he took away our sins. He's the ticket to heaven for those who beleive in him -- absolutely free for all who want! I hope to see you there someday.

This is how I came out of that mindset. Trust me -- eternity just cannot "pass you by"! ;) Just make sure you choose the right place to spend it!

Yeah... I moved out of my country, came back again after many, many years, and found that my country had run down the economical road without me.

Not really. As long as I know that God has something planned for me, I know that my life is set. I don't really worry about it. ^^
