Yes. I even drove through it backwards once and my passenger ordered. Needless to say the clerk gave us a wierd look.

Technically, I don't walk through the drive-thru. But I do have to get off my bike to take care of most things when I use one. I can't see why a person could not use the drive-thru if the regular counter is crowded. Darn good question. Gave it my vote.

No. It's a liability problem for the owner of the restaurant.
Can you physically walk through a drive-through? Of course, but you are unlikely to be served anything more than a packet of mustard.

A drive through bank--yes
A drive through fast food place--maybe, chances are no. Unless you have a dog, it could be incredibly danerous. Most places won't serve you if you walk through the drive-thru.

Usually, you can't order, because the things that let them know someone is outside is a metal detecting thing, or there is a weight requirement which makes it impossible for a single person to do it. Plus, I think that they get pissed off.

no. It is insurance reasons. My friend used to manage a fast food place. They told someone to come back in a car and they did. Car and gun and robbed the place.
