Depends on how orthodox they are. Most Jewish people I know (and the one I go out with) enjoy Christmas with the rest of us; they just don't celebrate it in a religious way.
Let's face it, how many people celebrate the religious aspects any more? Mostly it's commercial/pagan, and so if you live in Britain and are not Christian, you are pretty much pushed into doing something.

The truth is that everyone is different. Most observant Jews do treat it as any other day. I honestly forget about Christmas entirely sometimes. I have walked around town December 25th wondering why stores were closed before I realized what the date was. however, some Jews who are more secular, feel that the holiday is more American than it is Christian and will do something to celebrate, though it would not be anything religious at all.

If they're practicing Jews, they wouldn't celebrate Xmas in a RELIGIOUS way, just cultural and festive. Some Jewish people do and some don't, or they try to combine it with Hanukkah, esp. if they're in a mixed-religion family. Xmas is pretty hard to escape in this country...it's SO hyped by marketing and the media!
Essentially, Jews have no reason to celebrate Jesus' birth, since he's not seen as "The Messiah", only one among many prophets.

Um...honey...Jesus Christ as Son of the Living God and Judaism kinda don't go together, you know? Seeing as how they don't recognize Him as such. So no, it's just another day. They take advantage of the holiday, and enjoy the lights and trees and decorations, but it has no religious significance for them.
Hannukah falls around Christmas, and as it's a Jewish celebration, *that's* the one they celebrate and give presents for. For Hannukah you get one present a day (at least) for the 8 days of the festival.

If they did participate in the (supposed) 'birthday of Jesus', then that would make them 'Christians' in the broad sense of the word, wouldn't it?
Dec. 25 is the Festival of the Invincible Sun.
Those who celebrate it may not know that Jesus wasnt' really born then, and did not become 'the Christ' until 30
years later, even. That is a common myth perpertrated by the commercial systems of the world, IMO.
