uncertain on the McCain-Powell value tag. i think of McCain may well be greater effective off determining on a conservative southern governor so as to solidify his base and positioned across in greater chief govt adventure. As for Gore-Obama, i don't see that for various motives. First, if Gore is chosen through fact the effects of a brokered convention, the democrats will fragment ("why become Clinton not chosen?", "chosen not elected!", etc) If he's chosen, teh fragmentation may well be even worse if the two Clinton or Obama become chosen. the suitable factor for the democratic occasion rigth now could be to come to a decision the thank you to seat FL and MI, then get the superdelegate votes pinned down merely before the convention. If noone is going into the convention with this factor wrapped up, that is going to fee them the prevalent election.

i highly doubt that will be the choices we have to make. McCain will likely get the nomination, but Powell will not run.. Al Gore will not run either, if he does, he will not win the nomination. I am figuring on Obama or John Edwards taking the Dem nomination.

I'd love to see the Gore/Durbin ticket. It would be a winner. And, Durbin is one of those people who get overlooked when everyone's talking about possible vice presidential candidates....probably because he comes from Illinois and its always a blue state. And if he really has any sense - Al Gore would run again - he's the perfect Democratic candidate.

If that's the choice, McCain/Powell hands down. Not my 1st choice overall by as long shot.
