Like a paycheck at your bank's atm?

I have been depositing cash as well as checks through my bank's ATM now for almost 5 years and I haven't had a single issue. They are normally credited to your account the next business day, though. For paychecks, I would look into firect deposits - where your paycheck is electronically transferred straight to your account. That makes the funds available usually at 12:01am of the business day it is scheduled for - a little sooner than most people are used to. All in all ATM deposits have been quite reliable for me.

Yes, just don't leave your ATM card after making the deposit. Some people leave their cards in a hurry and someone else like the next ATM user gets it or the ATM eats it up. If it is a check, it is safe; if it is cash make sure you get every detail right (correct amount, bills in the envelope, etc.)

very reliable... almost fool-proof, the bank or its employees are not going to steal a check and risk loosing their job, and a good chance of doing time..." it just don't happen that way.".. also there are a lot of safe guards built into the system (remember we have been "saving/banking" since our forefathers time...
this is a good ? any additional doubts ? banker...

there is a greater risk at being robbed/identity theft then money stolen via bank by bank

I prefer going inside the bank and doing my transactions with a teller, that way, if anything goes wrong, I have the teller's number on the receipt, as well, as I can describe what he or she looks like, if they is a problem with the transaction.

I do it all the time and its safe. However, I one time entered the wrong amount (an amount lower than what my check read) and the bank just kept the difference. Those bums.
