You could have Polycystic Ovaries? Have you asked a Dr about that? It's incredibly common. If you suffer from weight gain and spots they are 2 other symptoms. Ask you're Doctor for a test. Diet can help a lot with hormonal problems- cut wheat, diary and red meat.

I don't think that being sterlised makes any difference - I am very irregular - I was wildly irregular and was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid - it tends to slow down the whole metabolism, including periods - you should see your doctor and eliminate this cause . Treatment is with thyroxine, the missing thyroid hormone. After treatment I settled down to once every 8 weeks - not bad! Other than that, I've not been able to do much about it - i look on the bright side, insofar as there is less pmt!

it could be an inditcation of polycystic ovart syndrom - also known as syndrom X
other symptons include : weight gain - around stomach, excess hair growth, acne, depression, lack of periods nad no ovulation, mood swings, insomnia and many more
metformin is used to help regulate women with pcos so this could be an option. pcos can go on to casue type II diabetes so is worth being checked out. a simple blood test and/or ultrasound will normally be enoug for a dx

Stress is a major factor that can cause irregular periods. I would recommend talking to a doctor about it. You may need to get on some birth control pills to help control those irregular periods. Best Wishes and Good Luck!

talk to your Dr cause it could even be scar tissue or something to that nature. They may even suggest a hysterectomy if nothing else works.
