I bought this tin of vegatable soup and it said pierce can and stand in boiling water for ten minutes, i now have second degree burns on my ankles!!

Lol, sure as long as your argument is that it didn't say put the soup in boiling water for ten minutes.. If it just said, stand in boiling water ... then ,sure, why not? It might be a lost cause though..

You would have 3rd degree burns or worse if you stood in boiling water for 10 minutes!
I imagine the skin and muscle would have just fell off your bones.

i do not think you can take legal action. what you can do is save the water you boiled your ankles in, it is human flavoured stock, an ideal base for making your own soup
