Some gave all!!! Some like myself have some good memories, and some very horrible ones. I will never forget what happened to PO Hanke.
Today at a ceromony we put on, we were made aware of the POW's / MIA's that are still not home. Were not talking about dead, they are still alive just waiting to be rescued.

So, I guess my question is: Can you take just a few seconds from your super busy schedules and remember the vets. A smile or a thank you when you see them in stores or where ever would mean the world to them. I know some do not support them, but they have fought and died to give you the freedom of speech that gave you a choice to not support them.

If I had my way, our military personnel would be the one's making millions not basketball players and actors, etc. God bless all of those men and women! My husband spent 18 months time in Iraq and just recently came home. He is my one and only hero!!!

well-liked memory no longer a narrative. Vietnam 1969. I have been commissioned for somewhat over 3 years. It grew to become into my 2nd excursion and that i grew to become right into a "short timer." I had purely gotten out of the bush. i grew to become into filthy and drained. there grew to become into an informal canteen on the backside station. i grew to become into ingesting (i'll in no way ignore) a 6 and one million/2 ounce Dr. Pepper (they do no longer even exist anymore.) It grew to become into so chilly that it grew to become into fairly much frozen. I appeared up and observed a guy in a sparkling uniform coming in direction of me. It grew to become right into a college classmate that I have been recommended grew to become into KIA a month earlier. I had shown it on a casualty checklist. i could no longer have been greater greatly surprised if Jesus himself had walked via the door. His first words to me have been, "Oh, my God i presumed you have been ineffective." it form of feels that the rumor had unfold between our classmates after analyzing casualty comments that we've been the two ineffective. There are 2 men on the Vietnam Wall with our appropriate names, ranks and branches. I consistently bear in mind our namesakes on the Wall on Memorial Day (and greater usually) and comprehend that it could have rather been them watching our names.
