A divided Country is what it sounds like the Democrats want. They had better come up with some answers and work with Bush, or they are going to be the ones everyone points a finger at in 2008. Your next President just might very well be a Republican if the Democrats can't get anything done with a majority Congress and Senate.

For the past 6 years, the Bush administration has done very little to reach out to Democrats, preferring instead on the Republican majorities in the House and Senate to ensure legislation was passed. As a result, Bush has very few friends amongst the Democratic Senators and Representatives, and the Dem leadership has very little incentive (given Bush's low approval ratings) to go along with any of his policies. So - I believe Bush will have a lot of problems dealing with this Congress.

Really I don't think the president should handle the Congress. He is hard pressed to handle his own cabinet, which is what his job discription specifies. Congress is a separate branch of government and should be left to its' work. There have been presidents in the past that believed in leaving Congress to its work, and others continued to act as Congressmen, yes LBJ was one.

Bush is going to be going nuts trying to handle a Democrat-majority Congress. I'm looking forward to seeing him have to fight for what he wants instead of getting a rubber stamp approval.

it is called veto power, and they don't have a large enough majority to over-ride his veto.

so they can pass it in congress and he will veto it. So basicly almost nothing will get passed, unless they make a deal with him.
