You need to Buy a Domain. Try Yahoo Small Business

you need two things
1st a web name
2nd space on a web server to host the site and contents

You can get a free site from several places (eg geosites), but the web page will be covered with adverts and the like. You can get decent hosting for under £2 a month. It depends on what you need. for a startup website, go cheap. if its for a business then you need to look at spending upto £25 per month as a basic. This will allow you around 1GB of web space and allow as much traffic as you can handle as well.

I advise that you use an established internet company, but shop around. a .com domain name can be brought for as little as £6 9or even cheaper if you buy in bulk). most companies sell domain names in the region of £10-£20 per year.

one of the cheapest domain name and hosting companies around is

u will need to get hosting, u can use something like http://geocites.yahoo.com for free hosting but that doesnt give a free domain like wwww.whatever.com etc..
if u want to have your own website with a domain i would advise using http://www.bluehost.com really cheap and massive storage.

First, you have to buy a domain name. You can do this through yahoo. Then you can publish your site onto the internet. Also, you could go to www.freewebs.com, register, and publish your site for free, except it looks like: freewebs.com/..................
