I have a brand new LG dryer and I think that something was in the pockets of a sweatshirt. The item must have been caught in the dryer somewhere. Probably on the way to the spiral tube that sends out all of the dirt and stuff. Now, when I turn it on, it makes a wierd noise and it doesn't work. Please help! It's brand new!

Warranty or not have a repair person diagnose the problem or you could have a major one. The dealer you bought the machine from should have a repair service. On a new machine, like yours, they will usually submit a warranty claim to the manufacturer and you won't be charged. This is an expensive machine and manufacturers want high reliability ratings for them.
Hope this helps.

It could be the item causing the problem or it could be a coincidence and the machine has a defect. At this point with a brand new appliance if you attempt to repair it on your own you could void the warranty. You are better off calling the factory authorized servicer even though it could be your fault. Depending on the servicer you may not need to pay for the repair regardless of the cause.

If you left something in one of the pockets of a sweatshirt and it came out and got caught somewhere in the dryer and is causing the noise you're hearing, the repair is NOT going to be covered by your warranty. Warranties cover workmanship and materials defects, not careless use of the product. Unless you're extremely handy and have the proper tools available, you're going to need to call a repairperson.

if its brand new i would definitely use the manufacture's warranty, but your problem sounds like it might be your motor or your belt
