Lose! LOSE! It's lose weight, not loose weight.
The perfect way to lose it is to increase your activity level and decrease your calory intake slightly. The key word here is slightly. If you cut down on calories too quickly, the body reacts by lowering your metabolism so you can maintain your weight on fewer calories. Sounds weird, but it's known as the starvation syndrome. So you have to cut down you intake enough to help shed pounds, but not so much that you kick into the starvation symdrome. That's why increasing activity levels is important, because that helps you use up calories without alarming your body's monitoring system.
Good luck to you!

BOTH!

I think watching your diet, as opposed to "dieting" is a key. Don't let yourself go hungry, just eat smarter. Read the label of that chocolate bar. Stop eating crap. Ride your bike to work. Excercise.

After a 4 month period of inactivity after taking a leave of absense I was shocked to watch my weight go up by 30 pounds. When I moved and started my new job, I rode my bike to and from work (3 miles round trip per day). I started stopping at Subway and buying two footlong "specials of the day" ...no cheese. I would eat one when I got home and then 1/2 of one about 2 hours before bed. I'd eat the last 1/2 before I went to work the next am.
I lost 30 pounds in 5 weeks. It has been 6 months and I've maintained my weight well with just riding and eating smart(er). I treat myself to a pint of haagen das now and then.

Dieting, where you let yourself go hungry does the opposite for you. It slows your metabolism, and while you might lose wieght in the short term, you'll find it harder and harder to lose weight in the future (and will gain it quicker when you stop dieting).

Excercise is as important (if not more) than diet (in my opinion).

Good luck

eat pleanty of whole grains. read the ingredient labels on foods as you shop. also eat plenty of vegetables and fruits. as far as eating goes: you can eat five to six small meals a day. that way you don't feel so terribly hungry. i don't consider this a diet. you basically eat a little of everything. along with this find something you enjoy doing while you excercise. you can go to places like Curves, the YMCA or YWCA - they have a whole slue of things you can choose from and the cost is quite reasonable. you can check into several excercise places, each place has different prices and sometimes they run specials for newcomers.

the healthiest way is to eat right and exercise at least a half hour to an hour a day. (walking, jogging, swimming, whatever)

low-carb diet is good for losing weight fast but its healthiness is in question.

Eat less, exercise more. But you need a balanced diet...cut out all trans fats and only eat natural fats and oils, like olive oil for wexample, and eat lots of vegtables and fruit....

Start with an improvement in your spelling. You can't turn your weight loose, but you can lose weight.

Get physical! Seriously get physical!
