I am so tired of pink nailpolish...and red and orange and all the other alternatives to pink. So I tried black and I really like it....its a nice change...anyhow I work in an office with older women (I am 21) and everyone is freaking out on me...what the hell is the big deal?

since you work with older women, they're probably just not used to it.
i really like the way black nail polish looks, but if you want to try another color you could try something like a really dark purple or burgundy. OPI has a really nice dark color called 'lincoln park after dark' and it's a good alternative to black.. it's not as dramatic, but it's really nice and dark and rich.

Black nailpolish is very in style. It sounds lame but it's true. Lauren Conrad [LC from Laguna Beach] was saying how she HATES pink/red nailpolish and LOVES black polish. I never thought that the only colors I ever wear are shades of pink/red. I say black is a nice change.

I have not tried it...but I have seen it on a lot of celebs like Jessica Simpson and I love the way it looks! (I'm 23 btw). Make sure that you have your black nails done professionally so they look neat and also keep them as short as possible.
If it is that big of a deal, switch to a deep deep deep reddish-black polish and still have them done as short and as neat as possible.
If your wardrobe is all black, and your face is pale, and your hair is funky, and you sulk around all day then I could see why the women would freak out...otherwise who cares!
They are just from a different generation than you. That's all.

Black nail polish is actually in fashion right now, you see it on celebs in many photos lately. Two weeks ago I painted my nails black and I got a couple comments fron people at work. It wasn't a big deal to me, but it was to them. So I just took off the nail polish, I'd rather not draw attention to myself about that, but if you really like something don't let others opinions stop you. It's just black nail polish.

I used to wear black nail polish all the time. A lot of people thought that I was depressed, which is silly. I just liked the way it looked with my skin tone and because it's different. Wear whatever nailpolish you want to.

There is no big deal! Black used to be thought of only as a "freak color," but now, it is totally in. Celebs are doing it, so you would think that people would not freak out about it. But, you know how people can be. I think that as long as you are not dressing weird and presenting yourself differently, then the black polish is just fine!

Its as much as you purchase some decrease priced black nail polish placed it on and placed on it with an outfit you like. in case you think of it seems sturdy then tell something of the worldwide to handle it and placed on it. I even have seen lots of black women human beings in my workplace placed on black nail polish. Its as much as you.

Because Old people have no sense of style. If you like it then just keep on doing it. My mom is a school teacher and for her 40-ith b-day she got her first tattoo and her tounge pierced. Everyone has there own style. Just go with yours.

Only gothic people or punks were black nail polish. Unless it's Halloween. Try a color like opal a dark red color.
