Have you done any glass etching? I just etched a trio of plain glass candlesticks for a wedding gift and am hooked! I have been etching all the glassware and mirrors I can find in the house. There are two ways of doing this and starter kits for both methods are available in the craft stores. Acid etching with Armor-Etch is very easy to master and produces lovely results on even inexpensive glassware. You can also do sand etching but it is a bit more expensive and probably a little harder to master. You can recycle disposable glass such as salad dressing bottles into pretty home accessories.

Have you tried decorating horse-shoes? I do them for all special occasions. A horseshoe is rumored to be good luck, so you can give a gift of a home-made craft and be wishing the person good luck at the same time. Take a horseshoe, and some of the leather ribbon or string, you can get at craftstores on a roll. String it from top to bottom on each side through the holes, alternating, front to back, tie a knot and kind of pull back into the groove on the last hole to make the hanging string. Then get creative with the shoe. Paint it or leave it metal for a rustic look. Hot glue on flowers, little wooden figures from the craft store, or go outside and find some tiny pine cones and put dried flowers and pine cones on it. I have put those little raffia angels in the center of them and christmas ribbon, for a christmas gift, or little wooden teddybears and painted it pink or blue for birthdays, ect. I have even made some for weddings, with the centerpiece off a wedding cake in the middle and all the ribbons were white, hanging extra white ribbons down and hanging plastic miniature champaign glasses from them.

I love painting birdhouses. I buy them made at Michael's or Hobby Lobby, and use acrylic paints. I tried selling some at a fair one time, it went okay. You can make a winter holiday one, a Halloween one, whatever! I think it's fun and cute, too. They also make nice gifts!

Not sure of your skill set, but something that I always enjoy seeing and buying are photos put into a matted frame with a saying that corresponds with it, maybe in fancy lettering. I have given several of these as gifts and they are always appreciated.
