I recently was "given" a wall hanging grandfather clock. I know nothing about it. No name, no instructions,,,nothing. I put it on the wall,,,pulled all the weights so they were all at the top. It ran great for about a week. Now one of the weights is touching the floor, it is not running. None of the weights will move. Two are still at the top and the one is at the bottom. Anyone have any idea what's going on or what I did wrong????

starting to be up, we had a grandmother clock. I had on no account heard of it, even with the undeniable fact that that is a smaller version of the grandfather clock. My dad become on the trifty section and didn't want the greater $ to be spent. yet mom needed her clock.

Hi, I would do a search on the net about the clock you own . I bet you find so much information about the clock you will not know what to do with it. I am positive you will be satisfied with the results you will find. Good Luck

go to a clock repair place and ask for a lesson in how to work the weights and offer them a few bucks for their knowledge. they might be able to tell you something about your clock for a few bucks too. don't be rude and expect something for free though.
