It probably means he can't dance, or is too shy to. Or maybe in some messed up way he acctually believes that despite the fact everyone else is dancing, it's not cool. People's minds are strange, but each one is different, so he could have meant all kinds of things, and really no one except him would know the full reason as no one can read minds.

The reason I don't dance is not because I am too cool it's because I CAN'T I have NO rhythm. Lol If you see me dancing or singing karaoke, take my keys and call me a cab because I have had way too much to drink and am past the point of caring how bad I am at either one. ;-)

Because he can't dance, so to cover it up they'll either act cool about it, or knock dancing by saying something like, "only f8gs dance".

I think he was 'covering'. Dancing is great fun! My husband and I love to dance and have actually won some dance contests. AND, it's said that a guy who's a good dancer is also good in bed. I can vouch for that. : )
