I never feel bad about it. I have had to argue with my boyfriends ex-wife and she is so completely on a lessor intelligence level it is not even funny. She thinks she is always right and never understands the concepts that she is not even close.

I don't bother, usually. It's useless to argue if they haven't the intelligence to understand and riposte.
And my cat does understand English - he knows what NO means and chooses to ignore it, but he'll look at me to make sure I know he's ignoring it!

No I don't feel bad. I have had to do it a lot in the last two years and all I tend to do is laugh when that person is to stupid and naive to understand basic concepts
