avoid caffiene and a lot of sugar. Drink lots of water. Dont eat sea food until your doctor gives you the new mercury chart. NEVER eat fish and sea food that you catch, or that comes caught in the wild.
A lot of people will suggest not eating soft cheeses. Thats a call you can make on your own. I ate them all along and never had a problem. Some people worry that because theyre not pasturized they can cause infections...
Otherwise, eat a healthy. You only need an extra 300 calories or so every day. Thats about half a lunch meat sandwich. :)
eating alot of fiber will help too. It will help you avoid constipation and hemroids.

Load up on fruits-all kinds.Stay away from Mexican and really spicy food-it can give you really bad heartburn-especially later in pregnancy.Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and a few glasses of milk too.Eat alot of meat-and just a good variety of food.No coffee or pop-a little is ok some doctors say but I would stay away from it.Have a great pregnancy!

Dont eat sandwhich meat! Or Hotdogs. Unless they are re-cooked at home! you can eat some sea food. Just not a lot. Avoid the seafood with more mercury in it.

LIke above, avoid deli meat and hotdogs unless you reheat them. Sea food can be dangerous if eaten to much. Just eat and drink lots of fruits and veggies, V8 and jucy juice is good drinks. there are plenty of websites about this just google it.

You want to avoid raw meat such as sushi, seafood, rare or uncooked beef, or poultry because of the risk of contamination with coliform bacteria, toxoplasmosis, and salmonella.
Raw eggs, or foods containing raw egg such as Caesar dressing, mayonnaise, homemade ice cream or custard, unpasteurized eggnog, or Hollandaise sauce because raw eggs may be contaminated with salmonella.
Soft cheese such as blue cheese, feta, Brie, Camambert, and Latin-American soft white cheeses such as queso blanco and queso fresco because they may harbor harmful bacteria.
Fish containing accumulated levels of mercury in their fatty tissues such as shark, swordfish, king mackerel, tilefish. When a pregnant woman consumes large amounts of mercury, her baby may suffer brain damage resulting in developmental delays (for example, delays in learning to walk or talk).
Fish containing high levels of an industrial pollutant called polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in their fatty tissues such as bluefish and striped bass, and freshwater fish such as salmon, pike, trout, walleye from contaminated lakes and rivers. According to the March of Dimes, consumption of large amounts of PCBs by pregnant women is linked to decreased attention, memory, and IQ in their babies. Check with your local Health Department to determine which fish in your area are safe to eat.
