I want to make my friend a mix cd for her birthday. Partly because she wants music and partly because i'm poor. lol. But i'm not sure what songs to put. she already has so many songs so i wanted to try some older songs that were classics. Or just popular songs now that im forgettin. Any ideas?

Johnny Cash - Rusty Cage/Personal Jesus/Hurt
36 Crazyfists - At The End Of August
Pearl Jam - Do The Evolution/MFC/Better Man
Stealer's Wheel - Stuck In The Middle With You
Nancy Sinatra - Bang Bang (the original, not that crappy remake)
Ray Charles - What'd I Say
Bush - Dead Meat/Machinehead
Live - Lakini's Juice/Dance With You/Rattlesnake
Tool - 10,000 Days/Schism
Megadeth - A Tout Le Monde
Bob Dylan - The Times They Are A Changin'
Creedance Clearwater Revival - Have You Ever Seen The Rain
Eric Clapton - Key To The Highway/Layla/Have You Ever Loved a Woman
The Doors - The End (awesome song to end any mix CD with by the way)
Flogging Molly - Drunken Lullabies
The Distillers - The Hunger
Seether - Diseased (acoustic version though)/Love Her/69Tea/Remedy/Truth
Flyleaf - Cassie
Collective Soul - Counting My Days (acoustic)

Nine Inch Nails - Hurt/The Wretched
Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun
Jefferson Airplane - Leaving on a Jetplane/White Rabbit
Evanescence - Heart Shaped Box (live acoustic cover of Nirvana)
Tori Amos - Smells Like Teen Spirit (cover)
Lucie Silvas - Nothing Else Matters (cover)
Metallica - Whiskey In The Jar/The Unforgiven/Turn The Page/The God That Failed/Fade To Black/One
Slipknot - Vermillion Pt2
Muse - New Born/Hysteria/Stockholm Syndrome/Muscle Museum
Nothingface - Ether

well it really depends on her interests...but if youre looking for classics, i personally love Drake Bell's remake of two songs done by the Whos i think and someone else. anyway its called Mellow Yellow. you could also get the original version of those songs but i prefer his of course..it adds a more modern feel to it. you should be able to find it on Limewire but if not and youre interested in that one IM me and ill see if i can find it for ya.
and the Beatles are good too...alot of people like the Beatles.
-Bowling for Soup: High School Never Ends
(this ones cool and it tells the truth about society)
-Nelly Furtado: Promiscuous
-Gwen Stefani: Wind It Up
-No Doubt:Underneath It All
-The Veronicas: 4Ever
(personal fav. has such a cool rhythm to it)
-Aly & AJ: Chemicals React
-Fergie: London Bridge
- The Afters: Beautiful Love
- All American Rejects: Move Along
-Good Charlotte: The Anthem
- Ashlee Simpson (think its by her): Burning Up
- The Fray: Over My Head
- The Fray: How to Save A Life
-Coldplay: Speed of Sound
that should be a good enough list to start you off dont ya think?
