They do! The capsicum in the seeds, the part that makes it hot, actually help to fight colon cancer.

Not really. Well, yes, they are high in vitamin C, an antioxidant that the body uses to fight off every attacker, including cancer.
All hot peppers contain capsaicum, which is a circulatory stimulant. In moderation, this is good. In crises like heart attack or feeble constitution with no appetite, this has saved lives.
But eat peppers and never get cancer, even if you smoke cigarettes & have a poor diet loaded with cheese & grease, drink nothing but soda pop? Not happening.

Jalapenos or "chili peppers" contain Capsicum Annuum, a phytochemical also reffered to as Capsaicin also found in bell peppers, paprika and pimento.
Capsaicin makes chilli peppers "hot" in "pepper spray" for riot control burning sensation for mammals, not birds.
Stimulates neurons for burning and abrasion sensation.
Soluble in fat & alcohol, not water. Can cool mouth with cold milk, alcohol or ice cream.
Potency not reduced by cooking or freezing.
Promotes apoptosis in pancreatic cancer cells.
No effect on normal pancreatic cells.
May relieve chemotherapy-induced neuropathy.
Inhibits NF-κB transcription of proinflammatory and antiapoptotic (cancer-promoting) genes.

I think they do. Jalapenos bring great joy! And just eating them can give you enough exitement that you have a better outlook on life, and that can fight cancer.
Ever notice, they seem to keep you warm in the winter, and cool in the summer?
Shared they are like an altered state. They can be alone, too.
When ya laugh, your'e off.

Yes I think so, Jalapenos are hot enough to burn up anything. I don't think cancer would stand a fighting chance around them.

Curcurmin, the main ingredient in curry and used for flavoring in many Indian dishes, is a known anti-inflammatory, boosts immune system strength and is believed to have a negative affect on all forms of cancer. Ginger kills cancer cells in laboratory tests. Garlic, chili peppers, rosemary and jalapenos are all included in the Cancer Cure Foundation's recommendations for anti cancer foods.

I don't think they're smart enough for that. But they're smart enough to have an agent that gets them in everything from chips to Monterrey Jack to Wendy's Hamburgers!! Pretty lucrative if you ask me.
