what one enjoys another would find boring. why not go to a craft store and check out some of their classes and try. or get a book at the library on different hobbies and (starting small and cheap) try a few. or go to craft fairs and ask questions. what catches your interest (again don't invest mega bucks) give it a try.
for me - i like making paper, collage work, making cards, photography, writing, painting, gardening, the list seems endless. not enough time to do all i enjoy doing.

I find jewelry making ( bead stringing as opposed to bead weaving or metal smithing ) a very relaxing and rewarding hobby. I now have an extensive collection of necklaces, bracelets and earrings and can make a beautiful, last minute gift from my bead collection whenever I need one. I've also sold many pieces to friends and coworkers. Ebay has thousands of gorgeous, natural gemstone beads up for auction at any given time and if you check out their designer/artisan jewelry you will find tons of inspiration.
