I started my period about a year ago and I usually have on time periods every 4 weeks that always used to last 7 days. Recently, I've been experiencing periods that last 9 days but are every 2 weeks and heavier than usual. But a few days ago, I started my period after 2 weeks again and it's v. v. heavy. It's come to the point where I have to change my pad every 30 mins unless i sit down and don't get up again. But when i do, i get a heavy stream of blood . i'm on the highest absorbency pad. I don't know what to do and I've developed pains in my lower stomach which i've never had before. I was recently sick and vomiting so I'm not sure whether that has anything to do with it. During summer hols, i had a period which lasted 11 days, but we thought it was just the heat?
What do I do??? 13 yrs old

Go to a gynecologist immediately! If you haven't told your mom (or important female figure in your life) do so, so that she can take you to your appointment. You may need to get on the Pill to regulate your periods, or you may have something else going on that needs medical attention. It's much better to be safe than sorry.

You need to talk to your mom and see if she can take you to see a doctor ASAP. This could be something very serious going on in your body.

See a Gyn right away. It sounds like Endometrosis (sp?).

Please! Go to your doctor right away! Don't look for answers here. This is very serious. You could have cysts on your ovaries or something worse. Never take chances with your health!

Tell your mom now (if you haven't already). That isn't normal. You need to go to a doctor...........NOW!!

In the mean time, relax. Don't stress yourself out!

Go see your doctor - maybe there is something that you can take so you don't have to suffer so much.

You need to do one of two things.
1. Go down to your local hardware store. Buy you a caulking gun and a tube of crack sealer. Anything that bleeds that bad needs to be sealed up cause you can't use it anyway. Or,
2. Go to your Doctor right now!
