He has an infection of some sort - it could just be a viral cold or something more serious. A fever alone isn't an emergency. Give him tylenol or ibuprofen for the fever and watch for other symptoms.
And, breastfeed that baby as much as you can - the antibodies in it will help him fight the infection and keeping him well hydrated will also help fight the infection.
Hope he gets better soon.

He's probably just getting the flu or maybe he's teething. No, breastmilk doesn't serve as a natural medicine. There's nothing in breastmilk that will lower his temp. He needs medicine, but depending on what is causing his fever I'm not sure what kind I would give him. Look for other symptoms of the flu or things like that and then decide from there. I hope he feels better :-)

A fever is a symptom of a larger problem, usually an infection of some sort. Anything over 100 is dangerous and needs to be reduced. Anything over 103 is EXTREMELY dangerous. could lead to death or brain damage.
YOUR BABY NEEDS A DOCTOR NOW!
Call your Doc NOW and ask him if it's ok to take Tylonol, you need that fever reduced.

There are many things, any infection will raise his temperature, as will most of the common childhood diseases, a cold and teething could also affect his temp. You can give him baby Ibuprofen (according to instructions on packaging) to lower his temp. A wet washcloth on his head will help cool him. If you are worried take him to see a doctor.

Ear infection, strep, common cold, viruses....it's impossible to say without a physical exam. If you still have milk, nurse as much as possible. It's comforting and the antibodies will help him fight off whatever illness he seems to have caught. Good luck.

He might be teething. If breastfeeding comforts him and you don't mind, go ahead and let him.
