I am overweight, and I have 4 kids. My weight has never affected my fertility.
And even though I am overweight, I never had gestational diabetes, or children that are heavy. All my kids are normal weight, and very active.

The only thing that might be a problem would be having PCO - poly-cystic ovary syndrume. This causes weight gain mostly around the middle - the "spare tire" as a symptom. If you're just a generally large woman - big butt, big thighs, big chest too - you are likely not a PCO case.
PCO can mean your ovaries cyst instead of pushing out eggs, and hormones get messed up; but even the PCO support sites are full of women with stories like "my doctor said I would likely not have kids, and now I have 3!".
As for whether a woman is capable of having children (definition of women under Olympic athlete rules) they found that appearance - big, small, large, small, boyish or manly or cheerleader type - rarely had any correlation with whether the plumbing was working. The only proviso was that very low-weight women (less than 15% body fat) tended to stop ovulating until they gained weight.
Good luck.

I don't think weight will matter much unless you're very obese. One of my ex-coworkers got pregnant and she looks like she's at least 100lbs overweight. I didn't know she was pregnant until she told me. I was 13lbs overweight before I got pregnant with my first child. As long as you eat healthy, exercise, take prenatal vitamins, stay away from alcohol and nicotine, you should be fine. Also, you need to figure out your ovulation days. This plays a big rule in getting pregnant.

umm..well it is possible, but not a great idea. you want your baby to be healthy and if u are overweight, ur baby will be too. i suggest losing the excess pounds so that both u and ur baby will be healthier.
