Hi,
Follow the Queen. It is fun
Every time a Queen turns up the next card is wild. Play it like any 7 card game, four up and three down.

My personal favorite is 7-A 5 Card Draw. The rules are sort of weird http://www.theultimatepokerguide.com/article.php/a-7-five-card-draw-poker-game-rules but they are easy to understand I think, and it is really easy to play. It plays like regular 5 card draw except the cards 2 through 6 are removed from the deck, (except when all 5 people are playing a hand, then 6s are in play as well.)
Also, Flushes beat full Houses in this form of poker, which makes the strategy a bit different and more interesting IMO.

Texas Hold 'Em is great, but I like variations on the basic poker games.
One of them is follow the queen. Basic 7 card stud, but each time a queen is flipped, the next card is wild (along with the queen). It's great because you never know who has the best hand until the very end!
