everry where i go it seems like we can't even try to speak a different language we just think the people who live there have to speak ours.

Americans have a language? I thought it was English!!
By default, English has become the international language.

Actually billions of dollars are spend in the USA on learning a new language. Business spend a bundle of teaching their employees to speak a different language. To be able to sell stuff over seas. Most employers hire people first who are bi-lingual.
It is the same in the other countries. Many Mexicans learn English and make a lot of money by being a tourist guide or translator. I think everyone knows the value of knowing two languages. That is why you can't even graduate High School with out taking a foreign language course, in the USA.

I only feel that anyone choosing to live here should speak English.
If I were to move to another country I would certainly learn the language of that nation.

I don't think that. I think where ever you go you should speak whatever language that is there. If it's a trip at least enough to get you by through out the trip.

It is because everyone wants our money, and everyone wants our education, and everyone wants our status, and everyone wants to tell us how to run our own country, even though we are the most successful country in the world.
Therefore they can learn to speak our language.
