usually by grade 9, in California, a student should be in Algebra 1 or Geometry. Usually math progression is as follows: Alg 1, Geometry, Alg. 2, Trig/PreCal, Calculus, Stats. You must have Algebra 2 completed in order to get into a CSU or UC. good luck with whatever it is ur doing!!

I learned Algebra I and 2 and Geometry and some people take Calculus and Physics - I was mathematically retarded so I just took three maths in high school. I admire people who are good at math because if it is not money, then I cannot see to understand how to count anything.

I had math in college but it was the "new math" and they no longer teach the stuff.

Really, your grade doesn't matter. Usually Algebra begins in 9th grade, however I took it in 7th. 10th-Geometry; 11th Algebra 2 &intro. to Trig;12th Trigonometry & Calculus. -- Standard Remedial courses. It all depends on your skill level; however, take them in order. (NEVER SKIP A STEP!!!)
