each state is different, but if he is making a lot more money than you spousal maintenance should be awarded for a period of time...you get half of all assets and half of all bills in most states and if you have been married over a certain number of years you are entitled to half of his retirement...an attorney would need to go into more detail with the exact laws of your state.

Been there done that! Sorry u have 2 be going threw that, it sux i know. And its going 2 b hard on u and ur lil one. Be strong and think of ur lil boy he will b what keeps u going. The court will decide the lesser of the 2 evils on who will get the lil one. It could get dirty. Make sure u have a stable inviorment 4 him, a stable home, a good job, and family support. These things will help. Make sure u have everything he needs and I mean everything. Like I said things could get nasty. I don't know u or ur husband but just watching it happen from the outside looking in i realized what i did wrong with my x hubby, this time around i won but it wasn't cuz i just knew what i needed 2 do. I am stable in all the ways i needed 2 b. If u feel he is getting over on u suggest a garden adlinem. Its a lawyer 4 ur son he doesn't represent u or ur x, just son. that's a good thing .

You'll only get child support if you get the child. Did you work? cause if you didn't the there is spousal support too. Ask for everything even if you don't want it because its better to aim high than not at all. Talk to a lawyer. And get consults by as many of them as possible cause then he can't use them (conflict of interest)Keep records of everything because you not divorcing the man you married(your divorcing the man who could take your hole life away from you)And believe you me hes not going to be nice about it no matter what he says.Good luck girl your gonna need it!

This is really hard to answer since it depends a lot on the laws where you live.. how long you have been with him and such and in some states the circumstances of the divorce. Or who is at fault. I would consult a lawyer.

Depends on the laws in your state. I live in California and we are a 50/50 community property state. And getting custody is not a given. However, should you get custody than child support and possibly spousal support.

It's hard to tell by your question. We need to know...
1. How long have you been married and what state you live in
2. Do you both work and what is your line of business
3. What property do you own together
4. Did you have any type of prenuptial agreement
5. If your husband is going to seek sole/joint custody

Depends on your states laws . In NY if you are married for more than 10 yrs you can get alimony . Go the the library and look up your states laws or do it online !

To sum it up in it's simplest form.....HALF! Half of everything the two of you own collectively......plus he pays child support(in most cases), provides medical insurance for the kids, and if you did not work outside the home, alimony to you.

It depends on the state and the reason for the divorce...
Do an internet search for "Divorce" and your state...
