a company is a notional or legal entity- it is basically an organization that undertakes a business activity or something. an industry also refers to a notional grouping of 'types' of businesses. so in an industry, you are essentially grouping a bunch of companies that meet a certain criteria. a factory is a physical structure that MANUFACTURES a product. it is NOT an OFFICE, which provides a service.
