Islam has been a religion for thousands of years, why the sudden hate towards the US?

Because Islam does not preach the killing of infidels. You can see many ancient communities still living in Muslim societies like the Jews and Zoroastrians of Iran, the Coptics of Egypt, and the aboriginals of Malaysia.
The "sudden" hate towards US is not specifically by the Muslims, in fact Americans don't know that most of the world aren't fond of America. This is because of it's forcefulness towards other nations by implimenting forced democracy and its very bad foreign policy. It's media are also to be blamed as they say that America is the best country in the world and that made Americans think that they are the only important thing in this world.
Africans are getting thinner and dying, while Americans are getting fat and partying. Distribute and share your wealth! You're like the millionaire in a very very very poor village. Do you think the village will respect you?

You love myth stories. Look dear without Islam there was no freedom to live in the so called west remember how the church ruled Europa 1400 years ago do you know who discovered the old Greek democracy or civilization .Why ppl ignore history facts and live on myth way of thinking and it dose not work any more most ppl are informed about Islam and Islam is an international religion ans many Western are Muslims too weak up enjoy the facts and forget about myths

The hate is certainly not sudden. The Crusades were fought due to Muslim control of the Holy Land. This has been going on longer than we have been alive. It is just now that they have the resourses (oil) to carry out their plans.

they were, they had destroyed the Byzantine Empire, conquered spain, marched into France, Sieged the Gates of Vienna. It was only through military might that we pushed them back. With the deterioration and eventual fall of the ottoman empire, the muslims lacked the ability to take out the west again. Now, they have the Will to do it again, wether or not they have developed the means to do so. Which is why they hijack our technology to do it now, they have not developed their own means.
the arab apologists seem to be weak on their history. I take it you either went to a public school, vote democrat, or pray to the east. or all of the above.
We have the ability to wipe them out, having the WILL to do so, is another thing.

They did.
In WWII the radicals were clearly on the side of Adolf Hitler. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem(an Islamic leader) organized his own version of the SS and Hitler youth to rid the world of the "Jewish problem".
Palestine is the only country in the world to still publish "Mein Kampf". Muhammad himself tried to conquer the world by the sword 1400 years ago.
Open any history book and you will find a long history of Islamic aggression.

Not exactly thousands of years, in fact less than 1500. For much of this time, they murdered those who refused to convert. During some periods, they lacked the strenght to do that. Now they feel strong enough.

Pay attention to the current times. This question tends toward ignorance, in its irrelevance.
The fact is, they do want us annhiliated. They learned their techniques of hate propaganda from Hitler. And they have hated us since before then.
Look at the growth of the Muslim religion. 20-25% of the world population. Refusing to assimilate in every nation they inhabit, except for the rare few.
When will they speak against the evils of terrorism?

It's not like many people from that region were international travelers 100 years ago.... They just want us out of their region and we pretty much were 100 years ago...
They don't like us now because they think we are coming to change their way of life, support the Jews, take their oil if not their land and disrespect their religion.
Personally I think this thinking is way off base... It's not what we are really about.

The world was a much larger place 100 years ago, and the US didn't have it's "world police" tentacles nearly as far out.
Remember, 100 years ago we were isolationists.
