25-1 when new until the engine wears in, then after about 16 hours work it should be 40-1, that is 40 part gas to 1 part oil

try 40:1 and use huskyvarna (sorry cant spell Swedish )chainsaw oil , it seems to be the best , and Lot's of the loggers i know use used atf. for the bar oil
