The eye is actually the same size as anyone elses, however the shape of them makes them seem smaller

I believe the answer is along the lines the same as the asking why different cultures/people have different colored skin...
People's skin color is different because of where they live and their jeans. In some parts of the world it is very sunny and it is like that most of the year.. Therefore, through out the years, most of the poeple living in that area have become noticeably dark in complexion. (I saw this on the discovery channel.)
Now, to your question... I believe people from that part of Asia are like lthat because of evolution. Like Darwin's Theory: from a dark, hairy monkey came a white man. It's like saying; Black people to yellow people to white people. It's evolution. :)

The mongolians have it and mostly south east Asians have it....85% of people in India don't have it.....I guess Indians and pakistanis don't have small eyes except people that live near the barders (migrators from other countries). And exceptions always there, but rest of the Asians they have small eyes (90% of it).
Its all DNA genetics...same with black white hispanic etc. etc

It's a blood trait that most of us carry (Although there are always some exceptions). Most likely if you are 100% Asian you have small eyes (like me)

Too many people ask this question. It's genetics, and has to do with the adaptibility of their enviroment. Duh!
